MEET LOREN - DIRECTOR & HEAD OF VOCALS

Loren is a professional vocalist and founder of The Song Loft. She studies Popular Music Performance (Vocals) and earned a BA (Hons) in Creative Musicianship (Vocals) from the prestigious BIMM London, where she performed at renowned venues including The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Ronnie Scott’s, The Blues Kitchen, and The Dublin Castle in Camden. Since graduating, Loren has built a successful career performing across the Midlands, specialising in pop, R&B, soul, and jazz. She has been teaching vocals for nine years and studying vocals for fourteen, working with various music and dance schools before founding The Song Loft in 2021. Her teaching focuses on building confidence, stage presence, and authentic vocal expression. She is especially enthusiastic about artist development!

MEET BECCI - VOCAL TUTOR

Becci brings over 20 years of experience as a professional singer and performer to The Song Loft. Her journey began with training at the Sheila Grooms MBE School of Dance and Thomas Telford Performing Arts College. Her stage career has since taken her across the UK and Europe. Becci’s credits include leading vocal and performance roles at Disneyland Paris and Alton Towers Resort, where she was Vocal Leader and Show Director, as well as appearances in The Rat Pack, Copacabana (as Lola), Le Cage aux Folles, and The Tweenies. A true all-rounder, Becci specialises in popular music and musical theatre, with a strong background in commercial dance, character acting and stage direction. She’s confident leading rehearsals in all aspects of vocals and performance, and is passionate about building confidence in every student she works with.

MEET KATIE - VOCAL TUTOR

Katie is a passionate and experienced vocalist with a First-Class Degree in Musical Theatre and a strong background performing professionally. She delivered a wide range of shows at the Alton Towers Resort – from acoustic sets to upbeat pop and rock performances – and appeared in their pantomimes Robin Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk. She has appeared in several theatre productions, including Little Shop of Horrors, The Sound of Music, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. With strong experience in musical direction, Katie has taught harmonies, arranged group vocals, and guided performers of all levels. Alongside her performing career, she also gigs professionally at weddings and events. Alongside The Song Loft, Katie works in education supporting SEN students, bringing patience, inclusivity, and care to every lesson!

MEET IZZY - UNDER 12'S VOCAL TUTOR

Izzy completed her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Musical Theatre at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), an internationally respected institution founded by Sir Paul McCartney, known for its industry-led, performance-focused training and highly competitive audition process, giving her a strong grounding in professional rehearsal discipline and performance standards. She is currently completing her BA (Hons) in Performing Arts at Performers College Manchester and brings a wide range of professional performance experience into her teaching, with credits including Shrek the Musical, The Final Curtain – Heroes vs Villains, and becoming a finalist in West End Calling. Izzy is a strong musical theatre vocalist with impressive vocal range and power, and as a former student of The Song Loft, Izzy has learned first-hand from our tutors, allowing her to pass that experience directly on to her students!

MEET LAUREN - VOCAL TUTOR

Lauren is a highly trained performer and teacher with a strong academic and professional background in acting, singing, and musical theatre. She trained with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), achieving grades in Musical Theatre, Speaking Verse and Prose and Acting, before going on to graduate with a First Class BA (Hons) in Acting from St Mary’s University Twickenham. Lauren spent seven years performing at the Alton Towers Resort as a children’s entertainer before progressing to Show Captain and later Attraction Manager, leading performers and overseeing live shows. Her credits include Dinnerladies, Avenue Q, Songs for a New World, The Polar Express and the acclaimed new musical A Song for You. Lauren performs regularly as a solo vocalist with ongoing gig residencies and is an active member of a youth choir. She has served as a singing teacher with Stagecoach and is currently training as a primary school teacher!
