MEET LOREN - DIRECTOR & HEAD OF VOCALS

Loren started on stage as a dancer in her youth and quickly found her passion for singing after her first vocal lesson at age 12. She went on to study Music and Drama at GCSE level, followed by A Levels in Drama and BTEC's in Performing Arts, while also attending acting classes at the Derby Academy of Acting. In 2012, Loren secured a place at BIMM London (whose Alumni includes George Ezra, Tom Odell and X-Factor/BGT Vocal Coach, Annabell Williams), where she completed a Diploma in Popular Music Performance (Vocals) and later earned a BA (Hons) in Creative Musicianship (Vocals). During her time there, she was taught by some of the UK’s most respected vocal coaches, performing regularly during her studies at iconic venues including The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, The Blues Kitchen, Ronnie Scott’s, and The Dublin Castle, Camden – famously known as Amy Winehouse’s favourite venue. Since graduating, she performs across the Midlands as a solo vocalist, specialising in pop, R&B, soul, and jazz. Alongside her performance work, Loren taught vocals at Rhythm Foundry Music School in Newcastle-under-Lyme for several years before founding The Song Loft in 2020. She continues to teach 1-to-1 lessons with a strong focus on building students’ confidence, stage presence, and helping them discover their vocal ability.

"Growing up in Stoke-on-Trent, there was never a space like this for aspiring singers. I had to travel to London to build the confidence, vocal skill, and performance experience I needed to pursue singing seriously. I created The Song Loft to bring that level of coaching and opportunity right here to my hometown — to help the next generation of singers discover what they’re capable of!"
